A luxurious home away from home
Find yourself at home in the stunning landscapes of the Queenstown Lakes. This architecturally designed luxury vacation rental near Wanaka was completed in 2022 and offers views over the beautiful Lake Wanaka and surrounding snow-capped mountains. Occupying a prime spot on this 50 acre lakeside farm, use the spacious private grounds and four bedrooms as the setting for a quiet family reunion or simply as a base to explore the region’s ski resorts, renowned hikes and world-famous vineyards.
Set at the end of a winding gravel road, the farmhouse is surrounded by tussocks. The single level dwelling opens onto a wrap around deck, connecting with a schist flagstone patio featuring al-fresco sitting and dining areas. The hot tub nestles into the patio with jaw dropping views across the lake while you can ease weary legs from a day adventuring in the hills.
Clad in stark aluminium, the interior is decorated with chic, relaxed luxury. Oak floors, spruce ceilings and a schist stone window seat are offset with warm woolen rugs and throws.
From the keyless entrance, the lobby draws you through into the main living area, where you will find a wide galley kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare a superb dinner with local produce to enjoy at the dining table with expansive views of the mountains to the north and lake to the east. After dinner relax in the lounge with seating for 10 or send the kids off to the media room to enjoy a movie or a game on the playstation on the 60" TV with surround sound.
Space to sleep up to 10 guests
The master bedroom wing, adjacent to the living area, has unimpeded views of the mountains and lake, and enjoys its own bathroom, walk in wardrobe and small office space. Bedrooms 2 and 3 also both face north and enjoy access directly out onto the deck and views of the lake. Bedroom 2 has a super king size bed that splits into 2 singles if necessary. Bedroom 3 has a queen size bed and its own large ensuite.
The sleep-out which is finished to the same immaculate standard as the rest of the house, again faces north with views of the mountains. A pull down queen size bed, and a built in set of bunks provides comfortable quarters for four. There is a small “kitchenette” space with a kettle and toaster, and large bathroom.
The media room doubles as a fourth bedroom with a comfortable queen size pull down bed built into the cabinetry.
The main bathroom in the house, next to the entrance, has a good size laundry which doubles as a drying room.
In the large double garage you will find bikes racked and available for your use. There are 2 XL frames, 3 medium frames and 1 smaller kids bike. Behind the garage on a small rise with dramatic views over Ruby’s island you will find the sauna to help you relax and rejuvenate in what we think is paradise!
