Meet the Makers
Experience our local artisan tour in Queenstown including a bee farm, art galleries and wineries.
About the Experience
With our private guide, discover the flavours and crafts that make Central Otago, in the South Island of New Zealand so unique. Start your adventure at the Grant Family bee farm for a honey-tasting experience before trying your creative hand at wax candle and honey soap making, spinning your own honey, or for the more adventurous, climb into a suit and experience being-a-beekeeper. From here you will visit Thomas Brown Art Gallery in Arrowtown, 20 minutes from Queenstown, an old cheese factory, meeting the artist himself. Next up, a visit to Mount Rosa Winery in Gibbston Valley for a private tasting and lunch with one of the wine makers before finishing the day at the Waka Gallery back in Queenstown Central. This studio is home to Maori carvings, sparkling Opals, New Zealand blue pearls and pounamu (jade stone). Leave with a small gift from Rob the gem cutter to take home with you.
